Buy HMIG labels by the roll for chemical containers, cabinets and storage areas. HMIG (Hazardous Materials Identification Guide) labels use four color bars: blue for health, red for flammability, yellow for reactivity and white for personal protective equipment. Write the 0–4 hazard rating and the PPE code on each label to match your hazard communication program.
HMIG label sizes
- 2" x 2" HMIG-style label, paper, 500/roll – small bottles, cans and sample containers.
- 4" x 4" HMIG-style label, paper, 500/roll – drums, pails and secondary containers.
- 4" x 4" HMIG-style label, vinyl, 500/roll – containers that get wet, wiped or handled often.
- 8" x 8" HMIG-style label, vinyl, 100/package – tanks, cabinets and areas viewed from a distance.
Every label uses a permanent pressure-sensitive adhesive and UV inks that stay legible through handling and storage. Paper is the economical choice for indoor containers. Vinyl holds up better to moisture and cleaning.
